Chandler is a Very Popular & Fast Growing Community In AZ

Set 25 miles southeast of Phoenix, the Maricopa County city of Chandler is home to about 275,000 residents, representing an increase of 40,000 people since 2010. An agricultural town in the early 20th century, Chandler began attracting industry-leading tech companies in the 1990s. Today, the city's nicknamed “the high-tech oasis of the silicon desert,” and its major employers include Intel, Northrop Grumman, Microchip Technology and NXP Semiconductors. According to the city’s economic development department, manufacturing jobs make up about 20% of the jobs here. 

Chandler’s population is split between retirees, young professionals with children, and snowbirds — a regional term for someone who moves to a warmer state during the winter. The Chandler Unified School District is highly rated, and the city’s a hub for shopping, dining and recreation.

The housing market is red hot. As soon as a house comes on the market, it’s often sold within days. The median cost of a home is $560,000, higher than the national median of about $420,000. 

Chandler is a collection of planned communities of single-family homes and are mostly ranch and Spanish-style from the late 20th century through today. Most of these homes have 2 to 5 bedrooms, and their yards feature desert landscaping or manicured lawns, with the occasional palm tree rising above the rooftops. On the south end of Chandler are the 55+ communities focused on outdoor recreation many of them have top rated golf courses, on-site restaurants & clubhouses
